My grandfather was one of the miners killed in the mine explosion. My father, Antonio (Tony) Catonio was born on June 2, 1914. My grandmother's name was Rosa Catonio. The story that I was told was that Pete Currillo, one of the surviving miners carried my grandfather's body out of the mine. He later married my grandmother and they had five more children. My father lived in the East Coulee and Drumheller area all of his life. He passed away on August 17, 2010.  From Marlane White (nee Catonio)<Br><Br>
